Formica countertop repair is sometimes needed to make your kitchen countertops look like new.

The procedure for repairing Formica countertops goes like this. First clean the countertop with ammonia solution to clean the grease and the dirt. Then wait for the countertop to dry completely and the put the repair paste over the damaged part using a putty knife. After that let the repair paste dry for the time given on the label. Then wipe the excess repair paste around the bad spot and then clean it again.
Another option to fix small damages is countertop polish, but it is not a permanent option. You will probably need to polish it at least once a year, to make it look like new.
If you have problems with laminate that is peeling off, you can use contact cement to repair your Formica countertop. If the countertops edge is peeling off and you can't fix it with glue, use the contact cement for Formica countertop repair. Firstly remove the edge, remove the old glue and use to contact cement to put new laminate edge on, thus repairing your Formica countertop.
When the contact cement or glue is drying, you will have to clamp it so it stays in the right position. While doing that, make sure you don't additionally damage your Formica countertop during repair. Use some cloth to put it in between the clamps and the countertop so you don't damage it.
